To live a fulfilling life, we need to find our passion which can eventually lead to finding our life purpose.
It is no secret that humanity at large is yet to break free of limitation of the mind and the ego self. Greed, anger, hunger for revenge and inner fears govern most of our decisions and continue to stop us from living a fulfilling life and finding our life purpose. A set of false beliefs still entangles most of humanity and blocks them from seeing the bigger picture. Human ego which has been developed in early stages of the human evolution as a form of defence mechanism is still governing our actions and defining our reality . Because of our social structure, most don’t realise that we have a choice and it is possible to overcome the illusion of money, fame and power. We need to transcend and break free of this illusion to find our purpose.
Rules of a modern society and the mass education system…
Living in a modern society means an individual needs to earn a living. In such a society, a mass education system is in place. It is supposed to prepare a young individual for the adulthood stage of their lives and teach them the necessary skills to successfully survive in this environment. But unfortunately, it approaches the whole concept from a wrong perspective which in turn causes the illusion of duality.
While our education system may have many benefits, it does fail to understand that each person is unique. What works for one may not work for other. It does not allow the individual to find and explore the their natural talents and interests. Instead, it dictates a set of socially accepted concepts to them either through the education system itself or by the immediate family members.
Such a system forces the individual to spend countless hours studying subjects which they have no interest in. Normally, their parents or a person of influence decides about the direction of their lives. In such circumstances, the individual never gets the opportunity to evolve and naturally find their life purpose and their place in this universe. And as such, they are forced towards an inevitable outcome; Failure.
Under our current social structure, we falsely evaluate a person by their social ranking and earnings. A typical example of this, is the fact most want their young ones to become doctors, lawyers, business man etc only because it looks good. They don’t realise that they are following an illusion and that living by such a school of beliefs causes anxiety, emptiness and eventually becomes the source of a painful existence. But hopefully there is a way out, but only if we are willing to empty our cup of all the limiting beliefs.
Success is an organic outcome of finding and transforming what we love doing most into a profession.
First and foremost, we need to understand and see a profession as a way to find fulfilment, like a hobby for instance. Something we love to do, regardless of financial gains and social rankings. There is a natural tendency in each individual to progress and become better at what they do. But what they do needs to be truly their passion regardless of the outcome. Further exploring or studying a subject which naturally interests you, is always an effortless and joyful activity and never a burden. You do it, because you want to do it and the end result is never the main objective. Only by being passionate about your work, you can open the door to new opportunities.
Coming to terms with the present…
Living this way, is not only about being a successful professional. But it also allows the individual to eliminate the side effects of a wandering mind. They come to appreciate the present moment “the NOW”. In which, they are engaged in an activity that they are passionate about and it really feels good and fulfilling. They are no more looking for a better tomorrow and they’ve come to terms with the reality and manged to learn to truly enjoy life.
Once we`ve realised that, we need to take action and move towards finding our passion. For some, this is a time-consuming procedure and one has to allow for some trial and error. Once you have identified what you are passionate about, then you can transform it into a profession and earn a living the right way. That’s how you find your life’s purpose and achieve success. The whole process may seem overwhelming at first but nevertheless, it needs to be a priority in our lives.
